Presentation of the project idea

During the last class of the semester, each group will present their project ideas, together with the outline of each part. The presentation should clarify the following points:

1. Data retrieval
   • Scraping methodology
   • Important cleaning / merging steps
2. Data visualisation
   • Type of visualisations
3. Data modelling
   • Describe the predicting task
     • Classification or regression?
   • or something else :
     • unsupervised learning
4. What form will your final project have?
   • A web application
   • A Jupyter notebook
   • A pdf report

You can follow this outline:

1. Introduction
   • Motivation : why is your topic interesting?
   • Question that you aim to answer
2. Data
   • Describe the different sources of data that you will rely on
   • Underlying methodology for getting the data (cf. point 1 above)
3. Modelling approach
4. Conlusion:
   • what are the main tasks that you still have to perform?

Format

• Oral presentation :
  • Each group will have 10 minutes
  • Each member of the group should speak for around the same amount of time.
  • No code should be shown on the slides
• Slides :
  • The presentation should be backed up with a short set of slides
  • You will have to hand in the slides in pdf (on lola) 24 hours in advance
